is Austin's oldest paint your own pottery studio. We provide everything you need to create really cool pottery as you enjoy the fun atmosphere of our studio.

Five easy steps to paint your own pottery

1. Select your pottery
We have more than 400 pieces to choose from...the largest selection in Austin! From dinner plates and pet bowls to piggy banks and picture frames, we have something for everyone! Our pieces start at $6. We do NOT charge you a studio fee. All you pay for is the cost of your items. The cost of your item covers all of your paint, supplies, glazing and firing. What you see is what you get!

2. Plan your design
You are welcome to plan your design with pencil before you paint. All pencil will burn off in our kiln. We have many idea books and painted samples for inspiration. We also have many stencils, stamps and sponges to help you out!

3. Choose your colors and start painting
Select six colors from our rainbow of more than 70 colors to create a piece you'll love.

4. Leave your pottery with us for firing
We'll apply a clear glaze to your piece and fire it in one of our kilns.

5. Pick up your masterpiece after 1 p.m. in four days - the fastest turnaround time in Austin
Your pottery will be shiny and food, dishwasher and microwave safe! Do you need your pottery a day faster? Ask us about our rush turnaround time!

If you have a group that can't come to our Studio, we have a couple of ideas!

We'll come to your party and make painting part of the festivities! We are completely mobile with selected pottery and paint colors. We've been part of many memorable parties where the guests create fabulous wine goblets, dessert plates and entire place settings. It's a great way to create a memorable event! Do you want to have a do-it-yourself party at home? Do you not have time to come into the studio to paint? We have the perfect solution - buy the pottery and paint from Ceramics Bayou and take it home! Choose from our entire stock of more than 400 items and buy as many bottles of paint you need for $5 each. Bring back the pottery to Ceramics Bayou, and we'll glaze it and fire it for no additional fee. Your pottery will be ready in four days.
