SUMMER ART CAMP 2020!
We're offering THREE different week long sessions for Summer 2020. Campers will get their hands deep into actual clay to create functional objects based on the theme of the camp. Thanks to our hot Texas summer, we're able to dry the clay during the week, fire it and have it ready to paint on Day 5, Friday of the camp! During Days 2-4, we'll paint pottery and complete many other fun art projects!
Our camps are ideal for kids 8-12 years old. The cost per camper is $290 and includes ALL supplies. We encourage parents to provide a light snack and beverage for their camper so everyone remains well hydrated and refreshed as great art is created!
This is NOT a walk-in event; reservations ARE required. The number of campers per session is 8 to ensure all campers get as much attention as they'd like!
Session 1 June 8-12 9 a.m.- Noon NO PROB-LLAMA
We'll make a cool llama platter out of clay on Day 1 and paint it on Day 5! The rest of the week will focus on ALL things llama including a cool mug & planter. As the week progresses, campers will learn a bunch of techniques including silk screen, using slip as a colorant and paint pens.
Session 2 July 13-17 9 a.m - Noon CRAZY 4 SUCCULENTS
We'll make a fun planter out of clay on Day 1 and finish it up on Day 5! On Tuesday - Thursday, campers will be busy painting pottery, like our Sweet Succulent pottery and other planters. Many techniques will be explored and it promises to be a blooming good time for all!
Session 3 August 3-7 9 a.m. - Noon DOG DAYS
Let's face it - by August we'll be SO over the heat and ready to spend some time in the cool A/C of the Studio! Welcome to the Dog Days of Summer and in celebration, campers will create a whimsical dog sculpture out of clay on Monday and paint it on Friday. Tuesday - Thursday, campers will paint dog-themed pottery such as a french bulldog plate and large dog biscuit canister. MagPie may even come in to supervise!
